Outsourcing / insourcing – pros / cons

Outsourcing can be handy if your company has a number of simple tasks that do not necessarily have to be handled by the company’s key employees.

Outsourcing can also be smart if your company is small and does not have the resources to hire a qualified employee full time.

It can also be beneficial to ad hoc tasks , something that must be solved once and for all , or simply to get “a second opinion”.

Finally outsourcing can also be an option in the short term , if you have lost an employee and recruitment of new staff is expected to take a few months .

In which case I can be a temporary solution as a consultant. If you’re satisfied, we’ll head for a permanent solution.

Call it temporary, call it consultant – or call it a fresh input from the outside.

Insourcing has great benefits for a large company and are costly for a small business . One can argue that the company’s key tasks should be carried by the company’s own employees , but many times the necessary skills are not available .

There now appears to be a trend of in sourcing after many years of outsourcing. This is probably more on customer-related tasks and contacts , since wages for certain eastern countries increase with the integration of the world economy or the country’s accession to the EU .

A consultant can be of great value for a short period of time to get input, get a “jump-start” and then continue working with the new input on your own.

Sharing of network resources

For almost 30 years I’ve collected more than 500 contacts from Denmark and abroad. If I can’t fix it myself, I know someone who can.

Prolonged tasks

It is always interesting to be affiliated with a company for a longer period , in which case we can negotiate the right price for the needed service.

In the price list you will find a chart that describes the price from time tasks to yearly assignments .

There is always room for negotiations so that your company gets the benefit there is a need for – at an attractive price.
